Love is the chemistry that brings two people together as associated with the word destiny. They have no knowledge of each other, but are willing to see where their connection might take them. This is how most relationships start out. We are all unique; each of us made up from the total and sum of our life experiences either sad or happy ones. But no matter what our background, if we want our relationship to work then we must be able understand how to make a relationship work.
So just what are the elements and essentials of a good relationship? Every successful relationship is built on a strong foundation - a foundation where respect and communication are the two basics but complicated. Mutual respect for one another's feelings is essential if a relationship is to work. If you are just in a relationship to serve your own needs then you're going to run into trouble, as denying your partner's rights to express themselves is not how to make a relationship work at all. Both partners should have equal rights in a relationship - make sure this is respected.
Good communication plays an important role in a successful relationship, where both partners feel that they can talk openly about any situation and express themselves freely to each other is equally as important. This does not mean that you have to see eye-to-eye on every scenario! Agreeing when he or she disagrees is fine, as long as arguments are resolved.
Actively seeking conversation from your partner and encouraging them to talk about themselves, their feelings and opinions is how to make a relationship work. But it's not just about getting them to talk - it is also about being able to listen; remember a good listener is a good speaker!:)
The central principle in all successful relationships is being truthful to one another or to each other as well as truthful or honest to your own feelings and emotions. If you can tell each other your worst secrets and its okay, then you've got a strong relationship that will last. Here comes Honesty.
Basically, those common interests that you both enjoy are the glue that binds a relationship together. If you both appreciate doing things together like going for a sweet and romantic walk, going on an activity holiday or learning a new cooking recipe then you've got the makings of a firm relationship. Sharing is an ingredient.
You will both need security, comfort. A good
relationship is built on compromise and a great deal of give and take on both
sides.
Hidden agenda poisons
or dulls a relationship; so if something
bothers you, say it. Remember that while men are wary of
emotional conversations, they love to find solutions. Express your problem and
then ask him to help you find the answer. .
Making time for each other – family and friends commitments, busy lives can dull a happy and successful relationship. Don’t become superman that passes every time there is a problem that needs a solution because conflicts start when someone can’t feel your company. ALWAYS make time for each other, no matter how stretched your schedule!
